NEW YORK — The Yankees will be taking on the Cardinals in the rubber game of the three-game series between the two iconic franchises.

For the Yankees, Will Warren will be getting the start. Prior to his start against the Cubs, where he pitched six shutout innings, Warren had been struggling, especially against left-handed batters. Tonight, he will face six lefties in the Cardinals lineup, including Alec Buleson who hit three home runs on Monday night.

The Yankees bullpen is going to be short once again today, with both Brent Headrick and David Bednar having to pitch multiple ups yesterday and the struggling Fernando Cruz presumably down tonight after pitching back-to-back games.

The Yankees are rolling out the same lineup as they did last night. With the Yankees keeping the same lineup, it keeps the offense consistent with the hope that they can get in some sort of groove, one they haven't been in some time. The Yankees also need Ben Rice to get it going again with his rough start to August, dampering the top of the Yankees lineup.
